We are checking out this excellent new Specialized Rockhopper Comp 27.5" Hardtail Mountain bike. New for late 2020 and into 2021, this bike is the new 27.5" version of the Specialized rockhopper, and along with the smaller wheel size, the bike has a 1/2 degree slacker head tube angle than the comparable 29er. With a full 100mm of travel with the Medium size, you get full use of that head tube Eagle. Aside from that, the Rockhopper Comp is the first in the lineup with a 1x style drivetrain. Running 1x9 gearing from Microshift with a Clutch! This drivetrain slots in the Shimano Alivio/Deore area, and with the full range 11-42t cassette, it should work great for most trails. The last pieces of sweet spec come with the Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, and the wide 25mm Stout wheels with a hookless bead!
